Generations

Generation 1 (2025–present)

The first K4 launched for 2025 as Kia's fourth-generation compact sedan after the Forte, with a 147-hp, 132 lb-ft 2.0L and IVT or a 190-hp, 195 lb-ft 1.6L turbo and 8-speed automatic, standard digital instrumentation and up to nearly 30 inches of combined screens. A hatchback body joined for 2026 with the same powertrains.

Buyer takeaway: Pick a 2.0L LXS or EX for economy and value, or the GT-Line Turbo for stronger acceleration. Choose the 2026 hatchback if you want more cargo flexibility.
