Community spotlight
Every month, we celebrate a community we're proud to serve.
Avunu isn't a marketplace that floats above the towns it serves — we're part of them. Our partner stores are staffed by your neighbors, our buyers are your coworkers, and our success is tied to the health of the places we call home.
So each month, we put the spotlight on one community: its history, the events that bring it together, and the people who make it work. Not because it sells cars — because these places deserve to be celebrated.

The Mahoning Valley
Northeast Ohio & Western Pennsylvania
"Steel in its bones, grit in its people, and a comeback story still being written."
Stretching along the Mahoning River from Youngstown and Warren to the Pennsylvania line, the Mahoning Valley is one of America's great working-class communities. It's a place where neighbors still know each other, where Friday nights mean high school football, and where generations of families have built lives around hard work and looking out for one another. This August, Avunu is proud to shine a light on the Valley — its history, its traditions, and above all, its people.
What we celebrate
History. Events. People.
A bit of history.
Every community has a story — how it was built, what it survived, and where it's headed. We tell it with the respect it deserves.
Events that bring people together.
Fairs, festivals, races, ballgames — the traditions that turn a place on a map into a hometown.
A salute to the people who make it work.
The workers, caregivers, teachers, first responders, and business owners who hold their community up every day.
Part of the same mission
Helping our communities get on the road.
The spotlight is one piece of a bigger commitment: helping everyone in our communities reach their dream of credit building and vehicle ownership.
